Players Code of Conduct

 

Commitment to the Game

  • Strive to continuously improve your skills, technique, and fitness levels.

  • Always give your best effort and aim for top performance in every match.

  • Be a role model for teammates, younger players, and supporters.

  • Play fairly and avoid any tactics intended to waste time or deceive opponents.

  • Speak and act respectfully at all times; avoid using inappropriate or offensive language.

 

Commitment to the Team

  • Do everything you can, within the rules and spirit of the game, to help Royal Eagles FC achieve success.

  • Stay fully committed to the team and avoid any actions or influences that might question your loyalty.

 

Respect for the Game’s Laws

  • Accept both wins and losses with dignity and sportsmanship.

  • Never resort to banned substances or prohibited methods to enhance performance.

 

Respect for Opponents

  • Treat all opponents respectfully, no matter the score or outcome.

  • Play safely and avoid rough or dangerous play; show concern for injured opponents.

  • Shake hands with the opposition after every game, regardless of the result.

 

Respect for Match Officials

  • Accept officials’ decisions without complaint or protest.

  • Avoid any actions or words intended to mislead or pressure match officials.

  • Show respect to referees and all officials throughout the game.

 

Respect for Team Officials

  • Follow the guidance and instructions of your coaches and club officials, as long as these are in line with this Code.

  • Treat opposing teams’ officials with respect at all times.

 

Respect for Supporters

  • Value and respect the interests and support of fans and spectators.

 

Parents & Guardians Code of Conduct

  • Encourage your child to play football because they enjoy it—never force them to participate.

  • Focus on effort and improvement over results alone.

  • Recognize and praise positive behaviour to show it’s valued.

  • Applaud good play from both teams.

  • Do not argue with referees or dispute officials’ decisions.

  • Stay off the pitch and avoid interfering during matches.

  • Allow referees and officials to handle incidents or disputes on and off the pitch.

  • Avoid coaching your child from the sidelines or criticizing them for mistakes.

  • Never use abusive or foul language towards players, officials, or other spectators.

  • Enjoy watching the game regardless of whether Royal Eagles FC wins or loses.

  • Ensure your child arrives on time for training and matches.

  • Inform the coach or manager in advance if your child can’t attend training or a game.

  • Make sure your child is collected promptly after sessions and matches.

  • Wait for the coach or manager to be present before leaving your child at training or games, as the club cannot take responsibility for players until supervision begins.

 

Photography

  • Any photos taken are solely for representing Royal Eagles FC teams or the club.

  • Group or team photos will be used wherever possible instead of individual pictures.

  • No names, addresses, or personal details will be published alongside photographs of players.

 

Important Note

  • Any player who incurs a fine or expense that the club must pay will be expected to reimburse Royal Eagles FC in full.

  • Match fees and training subscriptions must be paid on time.

  • The club reserves the right to suspend players who fail to meet their financial obligations.

 

Coaches Code of Conduct

At Royal Eagles FC, all coaches share the responsibility of setting a positive example and fostering an environment where young players can learn, grow, and enjoy the game. Coaches are expected to uphold The FA’s Respect Code of Conduct at all times.

 

On and Off the Field, I Will:

  • Lead by example and be a positive role model for my players.

  • Show respect to everyone involved in football, including match officials, opponents, coaches, managers, and spectators.

  • Follow both the letter and the spirit of the laws of the game.

  • Encourage fair play and uphold high standards of conduct.

  • Respect match officials’ decisions, even when I disagree.

  • Never enter the field of play without the referee’s permission.

  • Avoid and never tolerate abusive, offensive, or insulting language or behaviour.

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat.

 

When Working with Players, I Will:

  • Always prioritise each player’s welfare, safety, and enjoyment over winning.

  • Never allow or engage in any form of bullying.

  • Encourage players to take responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.

  • Organize activities that suit the age, ability, and maturity of the players.

  • Collaborate with others involved in football (such as referees, medical staff, and welfare officers) to support each player’s well-being.

 

I Understand That If I Fail to Follow This Code, The Following Actions May Be Taken by Royal Eagles FC, the League, County FA, or The FA:

  • I may be asked to attend a meeting with the club, league, or County Welfare Officer.

  • I may be suspended from matches or club activities.

  • I could face suspension or fines imposed by the County FA.

  • I may be asked to leave the club entirely.
